They’re not Siths and they sure as heck are not Jedi. So what are they? Well, they’re the Knights of Ren and they’re here to fill that empty space that the Sith Lords left after their defeat.
So Who Are The Knights of Ren?
The Knights of Ren are a solid group of warriors who all wear masks and served Kylo Ren’s bidding. All being Force sensitive, The Knights wander the galaxy destroying anything that they encounter in the name of the dark side of the Force. As a group, they adhere to the ways that is known as the Ren, which is a philosophy that is the epitome of the lightsaber. The Knights are individually equipped with unique weapons that are geared towards close combat.
The Knights of Ren Origin
The Knights of Ren rose from what is called the Unknown Regions after the Galactic Civil War had taken place. Once the Galactic Empire collapsed under the weight of the New Republic, the Knights followed an individual who was only known as “Ren”. However, this quickly changed the moment Ben Solo joined the Knights’ ranks and the Jedi Order (after the resurgence) fell into ruins.
After denying the Jedi Code and his abandoning former life as Ben Solo, Kylo Ren was gifted the Knights by Supreme Leader Snoke. Being strong and very in tune with the Force, Kylo was known as a heir in the Darth Vader bloodline, yet the Knights’ loyalty still belonged to Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord who was resurrected.
It was The Knights who served as Kylo’s own personal bodyguards after Snoke’s passing in the final days of the Resistance and First Order war. The Knights were also given the task to hunt down Rey, who was known to be a Jedi apprentice who shared a connection with their leader at the time, Kylo. However, Kylo returned to the light side and The Knights were left to confront their past master on Exegol. As The Knights were on Exegol, they were killed by Solo.
